If you're planning a wedding far in advance, during a holiday weekend, or you expect out-of-town guests, it may be a good idea to send "Save-the-Date" cards to your prospective wedding guests in order to better ensure their attendance for your big day.

Remember this is NOT a formal invitation to
your wedding. A "Save-the-Date" card is just that;
an informal way to let your invited guests know to reserve the date of your wedding.
